Start controlling and modifying your light with this Shoot-Through Umbrella. In general, the umbrella will soften and broaden the light output of any strobe or lower wattage constant light. This umbrella features a diffusive 1-stop white nylon that exhibits wide coverage, low contrast and a substantial boost in the ambient light level. Instead of traditionally bouncing your light source inside the umbrella, turn it around and aim the convex side of the umbrella toward your subject. While still diffused, you will get wide coverage and a snappy look with more contrast. The umbrella can soften, reflect, and shape whatever light source that you use, ideal for fill light. Most studio lights include a built-in umbrella receptacle for instant mounting. There are also a variety of mounting brackets available for speedlights with adjustable and tiltable options for precise positioning. Additional control can be achieved by fine-tuning the 'focus' of the beam by varying the flash head's position along the umbrella's shaft.
